1. The graphic shows spool and bore wear as well as spring fade.
2. Signs of wear:
- High or low line pressure
- slippage
- harsh shifting
Factors to consider:
- condition of oil
- condition of filter
- vehicle mileage, driving conditions
Expected life for linear type solenoids: 300 hz, =1,080,000 cycle/ hr X 2000 Hr (100, 000 miles @ 50 MPH) =2,160,000,000 cycles.
